Thank you for visiting the Migwani Children's Dormitory Project (MCP)

Jambo folks!
This is a photo of our competed dormitory In Migwani. We were there to see the happy faces of the children as they carried their mattresses in for the first night in their new home. What a thrill!

October, 2009 - Here is a photo of the completed project.  Great Job Everyone!!!

Jambo folks - I'm pleased to forward these photos of our dormitory! The windows and doors are ordered and will go on very soon!  We did it!!  PS: lots more photos when Judy and I get back from Kenya in Oct!

Please use the menu bar at the top of the window to browse the information about this project. Your interest and support is greatly appreciated!!

This is a photo of the recent ground-breaking ceremony for our Dormitory in Migwani. In January, 2009 we sent the first $2,500 of the fund to Child Focus Africa so they can start construction.

The foundation was completed as of March '09. Note the blocks of stone were gathered locally by volunteers, under the supervision of Chief Mbazyo to eliminate the purchase of cinder blocks.

MCP is a fund-raising project based in Smithers, British Columbia.  MCP is wholly made up of volunteers  who are working with great effort to help provide the funds necessary to build a dormitory for 54 handicapped children in the Village of Migwani, Kenya. As everyone involved in the fundraising are volunteers we are able to ensure that 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the building materials.
