About Migwani...

Where is Migwani?

Migwani town is located in the Mwingi district west of Nairobi in South Eastern Kenya.

email from Paul Kenya:

Hi Jim ,

Thank you Jim, for all the good work you are doing up there. I saw your mails and Im happy to receive your comments.

The children are Kamba and are from the Kamba community. I will see if I can find a site with info.

Most interesting thing Jim about the kamba is the stereotype among them about their believe in superstition and witchcraft. SO you can see how easy it is to sideline these children as a curse or as a manifestation of the evil spirits.
The kambas are mixed farmers and hardworking and are limited due to the weather and the semi arid region they live in today. Early kambas were traders and traded between the interior of eastern province with the coastal provinces, bearing animal produce and ivory. that was long ago...and ivory trade was long stopped in Kenya.

will forward any info i can get to you.
Paul
