Holeys, the Canadian manufacturer of the iconic clog is pitching in and
donating 54 pairs of their famous Explorers and XP2 clog for our
children in Migwani.
Jim Senka: "I'm a big fan of Holeys footwear and have worn mine all over the
place. I thought it would be a great thing to be able to give a pair of
these great shoes to each of the Special Unit Children. I started keeping an
eye out in the used clothing stores, but, unlike other shoes, no one seems
to throw these shoes away (a good indication that they don't wear out). My
next option was a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try. I contacted
the Holeys Corporate headquarters in Vancouver with a request for 50 pairs
of Holeys for the needy children of Migwani. They understood the need to
help these children and immediately responded with an offer to provide 50
pairs of their Explorers and XP2 model."
The shoes will go into the container which will be leaving for Africa in
April.
