PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE

from Paul Kenya (Child Focus Africa):

Jambo, Jim,
Every time I write to you, I feel humbled by what you are doing.  well....thank you.

As mentioned by Jim, I have no problems with Friends of Kitui helping out. We will just need to clarify clearly who is doing what...so far so good. I have gone through the friends of Kitui website and thank you for advocating for our project PAT...and for thanking jim on our behalf...and for the CFA page.

I spent most of the afternoon today with friends talking about CFA and went to the various web articles on CFA, Friends of Kitui, newspaper articles on Smithers (MCP) and ended up here...in my inbox. This project has evolved alot and better things are yet to come, i believe.

CFA engaged a consultant last week to work with the field on needs identification for the SNU [special needs unit] and for the nearby community. The school especially has needs to and we are looking at how to improve the two at the same pace. Anticipated needs are water, electricity, skill trainings and teachers.

the community needs may include water, income generating projects, skills building...but I will wait for the needs assessment ..so that we are actually presenting the needs as prioritized by the community. PAT.. I hope to present the needs assessment results to you so as to help you advocate for a project in the SNU. I hope this will also help you Jim in the next steps for Migwani.

Thank you to the above sponsors who's support has helped make this project a success!
