Shipping Goods for the Children...
May 30, 2009 Just to let you all know that the yard sale we had this morning for the Migwani Children's Dormitory Project went well (although a few of us are pretty bagged
after a day an a half of hard work)
The bottom line was a net profit of $970 for our children. Special thanks to Dian & Bill Cromer, Anne Harfenist, Lance & Marie Bereck, Dudley Goalder, Judy Senka, Laurence Turney and Keith Cummings for helping us set up, sell all those goods and to clean up afterwards. Thanks also to Gail Tendal and her friends for donating some
of their leftover stuff from last week and Joanne Woroniuk
for dropping off some muffins for starving workers. Although we sold lots, there was still some good stuff left over which we donated to the Women's Transition House, the Men's Shelter and a few things for the Migwani Container. Jim |
